About Us

Rob, a native Virginian, and Joseph, originally from Texas, began their life journey together with a simple wedding ceremony in Washington, D.C., on July 20, 2012. Since then, they have transformed their home, Riverwood Cottage, into a hub of creativity and celebration, hosting various social events and gatherings that reflect their love for hosting and entertaining.

Community involvement is integral to Riverwood Designs. Joseph and Rob actively participate in local non-profits and community organizations, including Arts on Main, the Garden Club of Virginia-Gloucester Mathews chapter, and the Gloucester Arts Festival. They also donate leftover floral designs to local rehabilitation and convalescent centers.

At Riverwood Designs, we believe in building strong relationships with our clients. Our first meeting, whether in person, virtually, or via email, is designed to understand your vision and preferences thoroughly. We create bespoke designs tailored to your tastes, style, and budget, avoiding restrictive floral design packages to ensure a unique and personalized experience.

We have had the privilege of designing and coordinating weddings at various venues across Virginia and the East Coast, including Danville, Virginia Beach, Richmond, Washington D.C., and more.

To ensure high-quality designs and personalized attention, we typically limit ourselves to managing and designing one or two weddings per day and fewer than 50 per year. This allows us to provide attentive and flawless planning and coordination services and focus on creating beautiful, bespoke designs that match your vision.
